  27. Parnet cables can be purchased through most mail-order houses for very 
  28. little money...much easier than building one yourself, if you don't know 
  29. your way around a soldering pen.

  31. Also, Parnet cables should never be more than 25 feet long (supposedly) 
  32. because it may cause the CIA chip on the parallel port to burn up.  I had 
  33. as many as 6 Amigas Parnetted and Sernetted to each other at one time and 
  34. never used a cable longer than 12 feet just to be safe. (CIA chips are 
  35. difficult to find these days!!)

  37. By the way, Sernet is the same as Parnet except it uses a null-modem 
  38. serial cable instead of a parallel cable and it's a bit slower, if you 
  39. can imagine that!

  41. All Parnet and Sernet software can be found on most Aminet FTP sites or 
  42. Aminet CD-Roms.
